How it works
Three steps to smoother hair
Step 1: Cleanse
We will start by cleansing your hair and scalp, massaging a deep cleansing shampoo through your locks before blow drying your hair to the correct level of dryness for your hair type.
Step 2: Smooth
Then it’s on to the keratin smoothing treatment, which is carefully applied to sectioned hair and left to work for up to 15 minutes, before blow drying your hair again.
Step 3: Seal
The final step is to use a hair iron to straighten the hair, which will appear glossy, smooth and frizz-free.

Before and after
Before you come in
- Avoid washing your hair for at least 24 to 48 hours before the treatment. Hair should be product free.
- Trim split ends if needed. The treatment works best on hair that has had split ends removed.
- Protect your hair from sun exposure, which can damage hair and impact how the treatment sets. Wear a hat or use an umbrella.
Keeping it smooth
- Use the recommended aftercare products, such as the sulphate-free WNt London range.
- Avoid excessive washing, as this will diminish results faster.
- Let hair air dry naturally and avoid excessive tension or backcombing when brushing.
- Avoid chlorine, salt water and other damaging elements, which can shorten the life of the treatment. Protect hair with a cap when swimming.
- Avoid styling products for 12 hours after your treatment.

Can I have a Brazilian Blow Dry on coloured hair?
Absolutely. We can apply the treatment on highlighted and coloured hair, and it could prolong the vibrancy of the colour as it seals the cuticles, locking in your tones for longer. If you want a Brazilian Blow Dry and a hair colour, highlights, balayage or ombre at the same time, we recommend we do the Brazilian first, as the colour will still be developing whilst in the salon.
What else is a Brazilian Blow Dry called?
There are many services that are very similar or identical to the Brazilian Blow Dry. These include the Keratin Treatment, Brazilian Blow Out, Japanese Straightening, Hair Smoothing and Keratin Cure.
Is it permanent?
The treatment is not permanent. It is principally an anti-frizz, shine-infusing treatment that lasts three to four months when cared for correctly.
Does it work on any length of hair?
It does. The Brazilian Blow Dry works on all hair lengths, from men’s short hair to waist length. It’s perfect for anyone who wants less maintenance and slick, shiny hair.
When can I wash my hair, and what should I use?
You can wash your hair or tie it up on the same day as your treatment, if you wish. We recommend avoiding styling products for 12 hours. To make it last, use a sulphate and paraben free shampoo. We recommend WNt London aftercare: Prolong or Lumi-Repair shampoo, with the Revive mask once a week. You can buy them in our online shop.

Around every three to four months. It can last longer with good home care, such as sulphate-free shampoo and avoiding sea water, and it also depends on your natural hair texture.
