SHORT BACK & SIDES

A popular hairstyle for gents is the so-called short back & sides. 

Remember when your dad used to drag you shouting and screaming to have your hair cut into this hairstyle?  Well now it's your choice and it's clear that many of London's discerning gents absolutely love this classic men's hairstyle.

How short you want your hair to be is up to you.  We can use scissors to taper the back and sides, or clippers to give you a closer cut.

FADES & SKIN FADES

Fades and skin fades are among the most popular hairstyles for men in London. These hairstyles were originally seen in the 1940s amongst military personnel and have been updated for today's modern man. 

As the name suggests, the hairstyle 'fades' from the crown to the nape of the neck where the hair is clippered or shaved so you can see the skin (hence the name 'skin fade'.)

The fade looks great with quiffs, preppy hair with low side partings, or tousled longer hair. 

QUIFFS & POMPADOUR HAIRSTYLES

You can really stand out from the crowd with a quiff or pompadour hairstyle for gents.  But which hairstyle is right for you?

Let's start with the pompadour.  Your hair needs to be fairly long on top - between 4-6 inches in length - and short at the sides.  The look is clean and sophisticated and you will need a shiny pomade product and maybe some blow dry time to achieve the height and shine you desire. 

With a quiffed hairstyle, your hair does not need to be as long on top and you will use matte products like a hair clay to create a more texturised look.
