Textured cutsArtfully undone
Texture gives your hair a more layered, ‘messy’ shape. Your Gusto stylist cuts into the longer lengths for a choppier, texturised, long hairstyle, leaving the sides and back a little shorter.
We also offer men’s perming services that can help create a texturised look. The overall effect looks like it has been artfully, and yet casually, created.
Long hair & curlsMore edge, more style
Men’s hair is more versatile than ever. We can reshape long or curly hair to give it more edge and a sense of style.

Quiffs & pompadoursHeight and shine
You can really stand out with a quiff or a pompadour. For a pompadour, your hair needs to be fairly long on top, between 4 and 6 inches, and short at the sides. The look is clean and sophisticated: you’ll need a shiny pomade and maybe some blow dry time for the height and shine you want.
With a quiff, your hair doesn’t need to be as long on top, and you’ll use matte products like a hair clay for a more texturised look.
Short back & sidesThe classic, refined
How short you want your hair to be is up to you. We can use scissors to taper the back and sides, or clippers to give you a closer cut.
If you want to change up your style, we can also recommend styling techniques and hair products to give you a different look for morning, noon and night.
Crops & undercutsClean lines
Popular looks include short crew cuts with faded sides, the buzz cut, where hair is cut to one length, and the disconnected undercut, with shaved back and sides and longer hair on top.
Fades, quiffs and pompadours are on trend too, alongside classic and preppy looks.
Fades & skin fades
Fades and skin fades are among the most popular men’s hairstyles in London, and they work as a base for far more than a classic cut.
As the name suggests, the hair fades from the crown to the nape of the neck, where it’s clippered or shaved so you can see the skin: hence the name skin fade.
Talk to your Gusto stylist about where you want the fade to begin, high or low, and whether you want a fade or a skin fade. It looks great with quiffs, preppy hair with a low side parting, or tousled longer hair.
