The Colour Blueprint
The Colour Blueprint:
Hair Colour Designed Around Your Real Life.

Most salons ask what colour you want.
We ask a better question: what does your hair need to look beautiful at week ten?
What Happens in a Colour Blueprint Consultation

01
We review your colour history
We look at where your hair has been — previous colour, chemical treatments, and any grow-out photos you can share. Understanding the starting point is how we avoid surprises.
02
We assess your hair's behaviour
Natural base level, porosity, density — these determine how your hair takes colour and how long it holds tone. Two clients wanting the same result may need completely different techniques to get there.
03
We establish your real maintenance window
Not the window you think you should have — the one that genuinely works for your life. We design the colour around your actual rhythm, not our booking calendar.
04
We map your root pattern
How your roots grow, and how fast, determines the root shadow depth that will make your regrowth invisible. Most clients have never examined this. The moment they do, everything about how they think about colour changes.
05
We agree and document your Colour Blueprint
Your technique, your toner, your grow-out window, and your aftercare recommendations — all recorded on your personal Blueprint card. Every future appointment picks up exactly where the last one left off.
Why Other Salons Skip This Step (and Why That's a Problem)
A consultation that doesn't ask about grow-out produces colour that doesn't account for it. The result is beautiful on day one and problematic at week six. The hard root line, the unexpected brassiness, the regrowth that looks grown-out rather than intentional — all of these happen because the placement and toning decisions were made for the photograph, not for the grow-out stage.
The Colour Blueprint changes the starting question. Everything we do — placement angle, root shadow depth, toner selection, foil vs. freehand choice — flows from what we learn in those fifteen minutes.
Your Blueprint Card
At the end of your consultation, you leave with a Blueprint card that records:
- The technique applied and the products used
- Your recommended maintenance window
- The aftercare products matched to your colour
- Your next appointment date and what we'll be doing
- Any notes about your hair's behaviour for future visits
This is your colour record — a document that makes every future appointment smarter than the last.
The Foundation of Our 12-Week Promise
The Colour Blueprint is what makes our 12-Week Grow-Out Promise possible. Because we design every colour with the grow-out in mind from the start, we can guarantee the result won't just look good on day one. If your colour doesn't grow out beautifully within twelve weeks of your appointment, we fix it at no charge.
No other London salon makes this promise, because no other London salon starts with this question.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a Colour Blueprint without booking a colour service?
Yes. A standalone Colour Blueprint consultation is available for £25, redeemable against your first colour appointment. It's ideal if you're not sure what service you need, or if you want to talk through your hair goals before committing.
How long does the consultation take?
Approximately fifteen minutes when booked as part of a colour appointment, or up to thirty minutes as a standalone session.
Do I need to bring anything?
If you have a photo of your hair at week eight or later — taken at home, in natural light, with no filter — bring it or send it in advance. It's the single most useful piece of information we can have.
Does the Blueprint change at every visit?
It evolves. We review and update it at each appointment based on how your hair has behaved since the last visit. Over time it becomes a complete colour history and a precise guide to what your hair needs.
