Dominating the hair colour world right now is Scandi highlights. The Scandinavian hairline trend (aka lift-lights or Nordic blonde highlights) is a new colouring technique used to brighten the fine baby hairs around the face and mimic the hairline of a natural Scandinavian blonde. Your stylist will brush the hair forward onto the forehead or use a very fine comb to pick up the softest of the hairs before applying colour (often bleach) directly to the hairline.

It's a technique used as a way of framing the face, and giving a 'halo' effect to the rest of your hair with minimal effort making a set of highlights look even blonder. This part of the service is often carried out just before your colour service is rinsed out and is often a few shades lighter seamlessly blending with your hair colour. The super fine highlights then peek out from underneath delivering a subtle and flattering look.
